Born and raised in Montréal, Québec, Joanna Chery comes from a long line of talented home chefs. She learned to cook authentic Greek dishes from a young age and, with a large family, there was always a crowd to cook for! Joanna believes good food comes from quality ingredients. With this philosophy, and some entrepreneurial spirit, Joanna opened Phyllo Bar Melina’s in Montréal, a cozy snack counter specializing in Greek phyllo pies like spanakopita, tyropita, and bougatsa. She hopes to introduce viewers to Greek cuisine that goes beyond souvlaki and enjoys making foods that feed the soul and bring people together.
