Robert Jewell was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta and moved to Calgary after high school. After responding to a dishwasher ad at Teatro Ristorante, he ended up in the kitchen of Chef Michael Allemeier, who trained him how to cook. Without any culinary school, Robert worked his way up and was a chef by age 25. By age 27 he was overseeing seven restaurants with The Concorde Group. He is now executive chef at Double Zero Pizza in Calgary. He loves cooking not only for his own satisfaction, but for the satisfaction of his guests on a daily basis.
