Grilled Sourdough with Rosemary Oil

Ease of Preparation: Easy
Yield: 4 servings

8 slices sourdough bread

¼ cup (60 ml) olive oil, plus more for brushing bread

1 tablespoon (15 ml) balsamic vinegar

1 tablespoon (15 ml) honey

1 tablespoon (15 ml) chopped fresh rosemary

½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) salt

Fresh ground pepper

Brush both sides of each slice of sourdough with olive oil. Heat a grill pan over medium-high heat, then grill bread for 2 minutes on each side, or until charred. Remove to a plate.

Whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, chopped fresh rosemary, salt, and pepper. Pour onto a small plate.

Cut each slice of sourdough into 4 thick strips and arrange around the plate with oil.
